Bridgeport Place

Bridgeport Place is now open for business!

Bridgeport Place, an exciting $2.2 million new-construction development project at Kinsman Road and East 72nd Street, consists of 13,200 square feet of new retail and commercial space that accommodates the new offices of Burten, Bell, Carr Development, Inc. The commercial center also includes the new Cleveland Public Library Garden Valley branch, a Discount Express merchandise store, and 5/3 Bank ATM.

Bridgeport Place complements other activity that has recently been completetd or is currently being undertaken in the Garden Valley neighborhood, including the redevelopment of the Garden Valley Estates, Bridgeport (Colfax Road) Model Block, new Anton Grdina School, new-construction homes on Minnie Avenue and Colfax Road as part of East Central Place, investment in the Marion Motley Playfields, Kinsman Road resurfacing, and the Urban Tree Farm component of BBC's Cleveland Inner-City Greening Initiative.

The grand opening and ribbon cutting for Bridgeport Place took place Wednesday, April 16, 2008. More than 200 city officials, professionals from community development and real estate development-related fields, and neighborhood residents received tours of BBC's office and the Cleveland Public Library Garden Valley Branch, enjoyed a program that featured Mayor Frank Jackson, Ward 5 Councilwoman Phyllis Cleveland, and BBC Executive Director Timothy Tramble.
